It was announced on Jan. 27 that first-year Julia Hathaway was selected to represent the Old Dominion Athletic Conference for the NCAA Division III Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Hathaway will also represent Pennsylvania’s Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC).

Senior Geni Roberts, jumper on the VWU Track and Field team, was honored at halftime at the VWU vs Hampden-Sydney Men’s Basketball game on Feb. 1 with a banner recognition for his National Runner-Up finishes in the Indoor Long Jump and Outdoor Triple Jump during the 2021-2022 season. This adds to the list of All-American awards that he has accumulated over the four years, bringing the total to five All-American honors. Roberts also has seven ODAC individual championship titles.
Freshman Khai Seargeant amassed a career-high this past weekend against the Generals of Washington & Lee University. Seargeant picked up 27 points for the Marlins win against the Generals, 84-72, to break a three-game losing streak.
