Kappa Alpha: National office responds

On Friday, February 27, the national office of Kappa Alpha sent the following response to The Marlin Chronicle’s article, “Kappa Alpha: Members of the closed fraternity speak out.”

Kappa Alpha Order would like to clarify information published in The Marlin Chronicle on Thursday, February 27 in the article “Kappa Alpha: Members of the closed fraternity speak out.” The chapter was temporarily suspended on February 4th when credible hazing allegations about Epsilon Omicron Chapter were received by staff at the National Administrative Office. An interim suspension is standard protocol when allegations of this nature are received. The decision to extend the suspension and close the chapter for a longer period was only made after the allegations were confirmed through our investigation.”
