VWU announces new online Master of Education program

Classes in the new online Master of Education program will begin on May 17. This program has 10 required courses for students and can be completed in a little over a year. The program will be fully offered online and administered by full-time faculty members.

The program was designed for licensed teachers who were looking to further their education and pursue careers in education leadership and development. The program is aligned with the National Competencies of Teacher Leadership and Teacher Leader Model Standards to give students the tools to provide direct change in whatever field of education they pursue.

Students can enroll in the program on a full-time or part-time basis for the program as the courses will be taught in 8-week sessions. The program will be offered at the price of $499 per credit hour.

For those interested in the program, more information can be found at the website here: https://www.vwu.edu/academics/graduate-programs/master-of-education/ .  Requirements for the program are an online application, official transcript, an essay, and proof of a teaching license.
